This is the last of the Rescue Beauty Lounge colors I have to show you, and boy is it a pretty one 🙂 This is the third Fan Collection 2.0 color and I’m still sort of jealous that I didn’t think of the concept of this polish lol.
Reveillon is a dusty satin blue with a bright pinkish-purple shimmer running through it. This is one of the more strong shimmers I have in my RBL collection. I thought it was going to be slightly stronger on the nail, based off of other reviews I’ve seen, but the polish is beautiful nonetheless. It actually reminds me quite a bit of those very riche dresses royals wore in France – Marie Antoinette-esque. The blue is a very fabric like color, in that it holds well on a lot of different skin tones, and also holds it’s color intensity really well. Does that makes sense to you guys? lol. I’m trying to say that even though it’s not a bright blue, that there is some dustiness to it, that it’s still a very strong color and that there’s no sort of translucency or lack of pigment to it. The shimmer then sits playfully within it, and all I can see is Marie Antoinette, having one of her parties, wearing her beautiful gowns and eating pretty little pastries.
The formula on this was slightly thicker than the other colors I have tried, but not so much that it was difficult to work with. It was opaque in 1 coat, however, and that sort of always makes up for any thickness I get with polishes.
Rescue Beauty Lounge colors are available on her website. Each polish retails for between $18 and $20, which is definitely not in everybody’s price range. However, it holds the same quality for me as brands like Deborah Lippmann do, especially within her creme finish polishes, so I feel the price is worth it.
Stay tuned to my YouTube Channel though, as I’ll be having a RBL giveaway soon!
