Opaque Pink is the second of two “classic” colors that I received from Ji. The first being Killah Red, which I just posted 😀
This is a beige creme-jelly color that is sheer at first, but then goes opaque in 2 coats. It’s sort of like magic because typically with these colors I don’t expect them to go opaque in 2 coats, especially with this texture of polish
I did think it was going to be pink, versus a skin-toned beige. That definitely caught me off guard based off the name, but otherwise I think the color is very unique. I have probably one other neutral in my collection that isn’t super pink based or super brown based, which is how neutrals tend to go. I like the yellowness of this color, and I think it will lend itself nicely to anybody’s neutral collection, especially those with warmer undertones.
What I originally did with this polish was paint a single coat on all my nails. It took away any evidence of discoloration and provided a good shine to my nails without looking like a full manicure. It meshed well with my natural skin tone – meaning, since I have a very yellow undertone, the single coat of this made my nails look very natural and didn’t obviously look pink or brown. This polish probably won’t have the same effect to those who have a different tone that I do in their skin, but I’m very happy to have a polish like this because there aren’t many out there.
After having a single coat on my nails for a day, I added 2 more, so in these photos I have a total of 3 coats, just so you can see what full color payoff is like. The polish has a very beautiful natural shine to it, and looked great during the day. I had a lot of people who came in to where I worked ask me what I was wearing because it’s a good office friendly color.

Rescue Beauty Lounge colors are available on her website. Each polish retails for between $18 and $20, which is definitely not in everybody’s price range. However, it holds the same quality for me as brands like Deborah Lippmann do, especially within her creme finish polishes, so I feel the price is worth it. Stay tuned to my YouTube Channel though, as I’ll be having a RBL giveaway soon!
