Yeah – that whole “post these at an appropriate time” thing failed. But the next 3 NOTW posts will be the rest of my Autism Awareness manicures, then I’ll post the other ones in my iPhoto Library.
This was inspired by AllLacqueredUp’s recent posts all featuring the fishtail braid manicure. I loved the way it looked on her and realized it was quite easy to do, so I incorporated it into this manicure, along with some new polishes that I had gotten.
The pastel blue creme is the L’Oreal Spring 2013 color that I just did a post of.
The sparkly blue on my middle finger, which reminds me of Cinderella, is a Pa Nail Polish color in AA25. I have photos and swatches coming soon 🙂 AA25 is a sky blue with a ton of silver shimmer and glitter mixed in, making it look really reflective. What I have is just one coat over L’Oreal Royally Yours.
For the braided manicure, I used the same L’Oreal pastel, then Revlon Royal, which is a royal blue jelly, and Orly Shine, which is a bright silver foil. I really like how the silver pops through a little on the stripes of Revlon Royal – it’s an interesting texture, which I’ve also been into lately.
This manicure lasted a bout a week before I removed it. There was minor chipping and wear. The basecoat I used was OPI Nail Envy and the Top Coat was Julep’s Freedom Top Coat (which I have been LOVING).
If you’re curious on how to do the braided manicure, I’ll post the video I just did of it down below 🙂
