In a surprising turn of events, cell phone photos are almost good enough to be used as swatch photos now. The photo above was taken with my iphone 5. Like… what? It’s slightly grainy when blown up but honestly it’s really not that bad! Not DSLR quality, which is NOT what I was expecting, but still pretty good.
This is one of the newer Revlon nail polishes that was released right before summer. The color is Bold Sangria and is a warm purple creme.
There are berry undertones, which you can see in the middle of my nails.
Formula wise, the Revlon Colorstay polishes are pretty good. The polish is super glossy and was opaque in 2 coats. This stayed on my nails for a good 4 days without chipping. The polish above was dry with Seche Vite, which I applied for longevity purposes rather than finish purposes.
My only problem with the polish is the brush. The brush is a semi wide brush that comes out of the little applicator into two parts. Because of that I feel like the polish doesn’t go on very well. The brush drags a little and that’s why the berry tones are prominent on my nails. The polish was sort of dragged off.
I do love the color of this polish though and was a great fall color.
