I think I’m going to start randomly swatching permanent colors in my collection for you now, like this, so that I can have a comprehensive picture collection of all my colors, and so you can all see swatches of permanent colors and not just limited edition items. Just so you can find all of them easily, all posts in this little project will be tagged with “permanent swatches”. I will also go through all my old posts (makeup and nail polish) and tag things with “permanent swatches”.
First one I have for you is OPI’s Bogota Blackberry.
Bogota Blackberry is a rich dark red shimmer. It truly is more of a blackened red shimmer, versus a purple toned, brown toned or other-toned red color. A lot of red shimmers have undertones added to make them look darker, whereas this one is just a dark red shimmer, if that makes sense.
This was opaque in 2 coats and had a great formula. It flowed onto the swatch evenly and easily and dried pretty quickly.
Of the permanent colors offered by OPI, I think this is one of the most popular reds. I actually hadn’t purchased it until recently, and am very glad I did since it’s such a classic color, both in OPI’s range and just in general.
OPI polishes are available at Ulta, and beauty supply stores. They retail for about $8.50 to $9 each.
