Maybelline has been quickly rising in my favors in terms of drugstore brands lately. Their eyeshadows and creme shadows have solidly impressed me.
Today I have their under-eye corrector/illuminizer to show you. This was a product that was talked about a lot on YouTube by various people a couple of months ago so when my other concealer ran out I decided to pick this up and give it a try.
It’s not a regular concealer – they have regular shades but I picked up “Radiant” which is a peachy salmon tone. The only other color corrector I have is the Coastal Scents quad. It’s a much more pasty and thick consistency than the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch.
The product come in a twist up applicator like the Stila Lipglosses – it doesn’t, however, have an “insensitive” twisty so product definitely doesn’t surprise you and glob all over the place. That’s a total plus that it’s so easy to get the product out. The pen makes application very precise and easy, especially if you want to get right into the inner corner.
As for the concealer, it’s a lightweight cream consistency, and blends out easily. It obviously brightens and makes a huge difference for my under-eye area.

Since I have an extremely oily eye area, I haven’t used this without some sort of base underneath. Whenever I do my makeup, I out of habit apply some eye primer (whatever is left on my finger) under the eye area. With the base underneath this stays on all day.
It retails for between $5 and $8 in my area – the price jump is huge but it really just depends on where I purchase it, what sales are going on and what coupons I have. You can get this at all drugstores though so it’s very accessible.
