UNREAL. Unreal that I haven’t reviewed this yet, seeing as that it’s probably one of my favorite products from Lush.
Sara just sent me one of the big versions so I guess this is the perfect time to photograph, review, and share with you guys!
Buffy (Formally, or I guess formerly since they don’t label it this anymore, known as Buffy The Backside Slayer) is a Body Butter from Lush that is ultra moisturizing as well as exfoliating.
Here’s what Lush says:

Massage our Buffy body butter all over your wet skin in the bath or shower to make you softer and smooth to the touch, paying special attention to your backside. We add ground rice, almonds and beans to Buffy to act as exfoliants; the rough textures eliminate lumps and bumps and sloughs away dry skin cells to reveal brighter, fresher looking skin. Rinse off the exfoliating bits and pat yourself dry. There’s no need for body lotion after a Buffy slaying session, because the cocoa and shea butters keep your skin beautifully smooth, moisturized and soft to the touch.

How to use

Can be used under water in the bath or shower. Rub the bar in a circular motion along all those rough, dry body parts. Massage in the rich butters, rinse gently and air dry (if possible). Body butters are designed to melt at body temperature, keep them safely out of direct sunlight and somewhere cool.

What I use Buffy for is to exfoliate my legs and moisturize them when I shave them. I use it both when I take a bath and when I take a shower, but I don’t store them near my shower because, as it says above, it melts rather quickly in warmer temperatures.
Buffy smells like lavender, slightly like lemon, and sort of…medicinal? like a Lush store smells. It’s incredibly moisturizing and the bits in the bar are pretty rough so if you like a harder exfoliation, you’ll like this. I really don’t like soft exfoliants, like Porridge soap by Lush, because I feel like it just doesn’t do anything. The rough exfoliants in this make it really feel like my legs are getting clean, and then the moisturizer kicks in and my legs are super soft.
After you get out of the shower or bath, the scent and moisturizing lotion/oil lingers on your skin forever! It’s an oilier feeling so if you don’t like that, you may not want to buy any of the Lush Body Butters. I typically use this in the evening (since I shower at night) so I don’t mind it. It makes me feel like I’m doing something good when I’m sleeping 🙂
One of the smaller size Buffys, 3.3 oz (above is 7.0 oz), which fit in the tins they sell, lasts me a good 2 months, so I can only imagine how that the big size will last me. These are sold at Lush and online and are $11.95-$22.95.
