Mac released a collection of products this past august of products that fans voted on to get a temporary re-appearance in their line and I was SUPER excited when it was announced that both of these lipsticks would be part of that collection.
I’ve been loving brights all summer so these fit in very well to the theme of what I had been lemming for all summer.
There weren’t just lipsticks released, there were glosses and eye shadows as well, but I only wanted these 2 lipsticks from the collection.
Candy Yum Yum
Candy Yum Yum was originally from Quite Cute and is a bright pink matte lipstick. Apparently it’s the less bright version of the new OCC Liptar, exclusively at Sephora, called Nylon.
I wasn’t quite into mattes or brights when this was first released, just a year ago, but it got so much hype that I was instantly regretting not buying it. I was surprised that this was included in the voting, since it was such a recent release and the others weren’t.
It’s very pigmented and dries to a matte, and sort of dry finish on the lips, like most matte lipsticks.
Way long ago, while looking at archives on Temptalia, I saw Moxie lipstick and was bummed I couldn’t get it anymore.
When it was announced that it were to be released with By Request, I was also super excited to get my hands on it.
Moxie is a red toned magenta, and it looks very very red next to Candy Yum Yum, but it is very pink in person.
Unfortunately these lipsticks were long sold out, but if you got your hands on them, I hope you love them 🙂
