Since I’ve accumulated a few more Deborah Lippmann polishes, I thought I’d put them all into one post and swatch them for you.
Deborah Lippmann has been doing some amazing things with her line recently and really been stepping outside of the box when it comes to what a regular high end brand would do. She already did that, with creating those fabulous chunky glitters and creating colors that your standard department store brand wouldn’t necessarily make, but this spring and summer a whole new bar has been set.
She not only made three magnetic polishes, but also made some awesome multichromes (like Chanel’s Peridot) and some flakies. I haven’t bought the magnetic or multichrome polishes yet but I know I probably eventually will.
From the new Spring release I bought Mermaid’s Dream which is a stunning aqua foil with teal and gold glitter. I bought the new flakies Ray of Light and Sweet Dreams, then I bought two of her regular line polishes, Good Girl Gone Bad and Some Enchanted Evening.
Deborah Lippmann polishes range from $16-$20 and can be purchased on her website as well as at Nordstrom.
Ray Of Light
Love that Deborah Lippmann names all of her colors after songs. I don’t really get this color when I hear that song, but whatever. It’s a gorgeous color.
Ray of Light is an indigo blue base with ember like flakies. The flakies go from gold to orange to green. Beautiful. It almost looks like fireflies in the night sky or something, if they had red butts haha. The formula was a little goopy but wasn’t too bad. It’s opaque in 2 to 3 coats.
This was released with Ray of Light. It’s a candy pink jelly base with way more flakies of the same color. It’s a little bit stickier than Ray of Light. I love the combination of the pink with the flakies. Very summery and sweet and perfect for those days by the lake in the warm sun. It’s definitely going to be a color I reach for in the summer.
It’s opaque in 3 coats and takes a bit of patience because of the formula.
Sweet Dreems, Ray of Light
This was released in the spring and was probably one of the most anticipated colors of the season. It’s a foily aqua base with teal and gold glitter. It’s got the perfect name. It’s opaque in 2 coats and the glitter isn’t difficult to manipulate onto the nail.
Good Girl Gone Bad
This polish I just did a NOTW post on and you can see there how gorgeous it is with a top coat. I wanted to include a photo here though of what it looks like on it’s own. It’s opaque in 2 coats and is a very shimmery and very deep berry wine color.
Some Enchanted Evening
Some Enchanted Evening is a glitter I’ve wanted for a LONG time, specifically to pair with Essie’s Lady Like, which is a combination that MissGlamorazzi did and it looked phenomenal on her. The glitter is a pale pink of small and large sizes and there are even some holo bits in there. Over Lady Like it’s a very elegant but soft pink nail.
This is definitely a layering polish so it works best over something but can be worn on its own if you so desired.
