MissGlamorazzi just posted a nail tutorial for this Hanna from Pretty Little Liars nail look. It was pretty classic but also very fun at the same time so I decided to take a go at it.
Ingrid uses Sephora nail strips (you can see them in the video I embedded down below), but I decided to go the Konad route because I didn’t want to drive all the way out to Sephora. She also uses OPI’s Cajun Shrimp, which is a more coral toned red, which I liked but I decided I wanted to use a more classic red for my own nails.
I used OPI’s Color So Hot It Berns (which is a dupe for OPI’s Comet Loves Cupid, btw) which was from their Swiss collection last year. It’s a bright, classic, warm red creme. It’s opaque in two coats. I used it over Nubar’s Foundation Base Coat and put Seche Vite top coat on top. I alternated the red with the leopard print (as Ingrid does in her tutorial, and as Hanna did in PLL), so it’s only on half of my fingers.
For the leopard print, I started out with OPI’s Glitzerland, also from the Swiss collection. It’s a cool gold foil. I used about three coats, which makes it pretty close to opaque. On top of that I Konaded leopard spots using the m57 plate. I then added some warmer brown tones, China Glaze’s Harvest Moon (which is the bronzey foil), OPI’s Wooden Shoe Like To Know? which are the light brown, and OPI’s Suzi Says Da! which are the darker brown spots. I used a dotting tool and just randomly went in and dotted.
I used the same base and top coat for the leopard print nails.
If you don’t have Konad, again you can get leopard print nail stickers at Sephora, and Sally Hansen makes them as well.
OPI colors can be bought at Ulta, Trade Secret (Pure Beauty in my area), and various beauty supply stores. China Glaze can be found at Ulta, Sallys and various online etailers. OPI retails for between $8-$9 and China Glaze for $3-$6.
