Of all the drugstore shadows I have read about, I think I’ve seen these referred to the most over the last 3 years. These have been a solid drugstore staple on a lot of people’s “must-buy” recommendations lists. I don’t know why it took me so long to get them but, I got them! So I’m swatching them for you today.
Tapestry Taupe is a pretty solid frosty taupe color. It’s less cool in tone than Mac’s Satin Taupe, and slightly less frosty.
Champagne is a light, frosty highlight color, perfect for the inner corner, under the brow and on the high parts of the cheekbones. Mac’s Shroom is similar but less warm toned.

Both shadows can be bought individually for in between $3 and $5 at drugstores. I got mine at Bed, Bath and Beyond, where I find that things are generally cheaper, and they send me coupons all the time. As a little tip about buying drugstore items, CVS is most expensive, then Rite Aid, then Walgreens then Bed, Bath and Beyond. CVS has a good benefit program though with their beauty products, if you spend $50, you get $5 back in CVS ExtraBux. They also have deals all the time where if you buy a certain product you get money back, and if you get a certain amount of one brand you get money back. That’s why I always go back to CVS. If there isn’t a good sale, then I’ll go looking at Bed, Bath and Beyond and use my coupons there.
