Hallelujah! Lush recently made this shower gel permanent. Before that though, it was probably the most sought after and quickly selling out Lush item I had heard of. I had been wanting to try it for quite some time, and had gotten a mini one 8 months ago in a Valentine’s Box that I purchased just for the shower gel. Whenever it released as a limited edition product, it sold out within the day and I could never get my hands on it.
When I heard it was permanent, I immediately purchased a large size of it, and thus finally started to use the small one I had been saving for 8 months.
It’s Raining Men is the same honey toffee scent as their Honey I Washed The Kids soap, which happens to also be a best seller amongst Lush’s products.
Here’s what Lush has to say about it:

“Looks like rain today.

Get absolutely soaking wet and lather up just like the Weather Girls first commanded back in the disco days. Only this time, you’re armed with one of the best shower gels you can buy. It’s Raining Men is made with lotus flowers to soothe your winter-ravaged bodies and moisturizing, cleansing honey.”

When it comes to convenience, this is definitely a lot easier to use than the HIWTK soap, which comes with a honey comb on top of it. That honey comb doesn’t really melt and is awkward to wash with so the shower gel makes it SO easy to be able to shower and that smell delicious at the same time.
The gel lathers very nicely and the scent lingers on the skin for a long time. It’s pretty moisturizing as well. It definitely doesn’t add extra moisture to the skin, but it doesn’t dry you out.
The scent is very yummy. The honey is evident, but the toffee notes to it give it a little bit more richness and well, yumminess to it. It’s great for when you just want to feel like a kid and feel all cozy and comfy. It’s also non-offensive for a sweet scent – again, it is Yukie’s Mother Approved lol.
Since it isn’t limited edition anymore, I would say to go get it if you haven’t tried it yet, prefer shower gel to bar soap, but if you want to wait a little bit you can (but don’t wait too long, you need to try it!).
