Just a quick FOTD post before I go off to a dinner meeting… I was inspired by a recent (not super new) Pixiwoo tutorial, called Simple Smokey Brown Eye with Aqua Twist.
In the video, Sam uses an Avon palette, which I don’t have or don’t know where to get in the states. So I went through my shadows and realized I could do basically the same thing with my Sleek Storm Palette. The colors she uses are slightly different but it’s the same basic idea of going from blue to brown in a simple smokey eye.
I also took a little bit of “creative liberty” with the look (or I just added some glitter because I’m totally into that right now) and made it sparkly in the inner corner.
The rest of this post is photos, as well as a list of products 🙂 Enjoy!
– Sleek Storm Palette (slate blue shadow, warm dark brown shadow, both frosty. matte black shadow as a liner)
– Mac Reflects pearl pigment (inner corner)
– Mac 226, 239, 224
– Sigma small angled brush
I basically just put down the blue on the lid, the brown in the crease (w/ the 239 and 226 respectively) and then blended the edge with the 224. I dragged the brown under the eye with my 239.
Then I took my Sigma small angled brush and the matte black and slightly lined my lashlines.
At the end, after mascara, I patted some glitter in the inner corner. Easy peesy 🙂
The rest of the face was neutral – slightly pink blush, nude lip.
