So between March and May, OPI released 2 collections – 1 big, and one mini – along side the previously shown Serena Williams duopacks.
The big collection was the movie collaboration collection, the Pirates of the Caribbean Collection. The collection was full of a bunch of murky cremes to pair with the Silver Shatter polish (which I have already reviewed). Originally, I didn’t want to purchase any of the cremes because they seemed pretty un-spectacular. I really only wanted 2 of them (which I ended up getting) but not so much that I had to get them when they were first released. It ended up as an “well if I see them then I’ll consider it then”. So a month and a half later, I finally went to the nail polish store, and there they were. So I picked up 3 of the colors from the collection, since the rest still didn’t impress.
The mini collection that was released was a 4 color addition to the OPI Soft Shades series. The one I purchased was the top coat “I Juggle…Men”. It’s a very very fine blue/pink/purple duochrome glitter in a clear base. It’s impossible to see by itself and is clearly meant to be layered but is very pretty over pretty much anything.
OPI is available in salons and everywhere OPI is sold. They retail for $8 to $9.

I Juggle…MenOPI I Juggle...Men,OPI Femme De Cirque Collection,warmvanillasugar0823warmvanillasugar0823I Juggle…Men is a very very very fine purple/blue glitter suspended in a clear jelly base. There are some glitter top coats that you can wear alone on the nail and boy is this NOT one of them. You can pile on as many coats as you’d wish, but still, the glitter won’t be heavy enough to make it look like more than just a clear coat of polish on your nails. When layered though, it can bring out pretty undertones in polishes and kicks up the polish just a little bit to make it a little more interesting.Swatches of that can be seen here at Scrangie and here at Lady of the Lane.Below though you can see just how transparent it is and how delicate the sparkle is.OPI I Juggle...Men,OPI Femme De Cirque Collection,warmvanillasugar0823OPI I Juggle...Men,OPI Femme De Cirque Collection,warmvanillasugar0823OPI I Juggle...Men,OPI Femme De Cirque Collection,warmvanillasugar0823
Stranger TidesOPI Stranger Tides,OPI Pirates Of The Caribbean Collection,warmvanillasugar0823OPI Stranger Tides,OPI Pirates Of The Caribbean Collection,warmvanillasugar0823Stranger Tides is a murky, light, creamy olive green. One of the pretty ugly polishes that have been a fad for like 5 years. It’s marshy, and murky and sort of… dirty lagoon feeling to me.The formula was amazing – pigmented, creamy, easy to work with.
Mermaid’s TearsOPI Mermaid's Tears,OPI Pirates Of The Caribbean Collection,warmvanillasugar0823OPI Mermaid's Tears,OPI Pirates Of The Caribbean Collection,warmvanillasugar0823Mermaid’s Tears is a medium turquoise creme with a slight hint of grey to it. This is another dirty lagoon color for me. Or… dirty coral reef? It’s bright without being overwhelmingly bright. Like a cloudy day at the beach.Formula on this was also fabulous. Creamy, smooth and pretty pigmented.

This is probably one of my favorite pinks. It’s a slightly grayed, slightly lilac light pink creme. In different lights it looks more purple then in others. I had a NOTW post on this so there’s more detail on the polish there. This definitely is one of my favorite new polishes.
