OPI Not Like The Movies,warmvanillasugar0823This is probably one of the most difficult to photograph nail polishes ever. You really have to see it in person to appreciate all the subtle nuances of this polish. But, I tried my best :)This is from the OPI Katy Perry Collection. This is one of the ones that was most talked about, but wasn’t the one I was most excited for. Seeing it in person though definitely made me re-think which one to be excited for. In the bottle it’s a light gunmetal gray with an intense multichrome. There’s pink, green, some gold, lots of darker shades of silver. There are also tiny silver microglitters dispersed throughout the polish. When people say “oil-slick” in reference to nail polish, this is really what people should think. It actually looks like one of the oil stains you’d see on the concrete in a parking lot or in the middle of the street on a rainy day. When applied, it’s quite sheer. This was about 4 coats. The most opaque color that shows is the dark silvery-green color. It’s like… a rusted penny. That sort of green. The green definitely shows up in all different types of lighting and from far away, my nails looked like a metallic, gray-silver-green.The pink is the most difficult to get an accurate photograph of because my camera just didn’t want to pick it up. You can see it because I used like 3 different angles from 3 different light sources but the true pink duochrome was just hard to get. It’s easier to see in the bottle in all these pictures than in the nail swatch.I have so many extra photos just to give you guys an idea of how different it looks in different lighting and at different angles.I used Zoya’s Anchor, Zoya’s Armour and Seche Vite.
